* ALL tickets purchased will have seats guaranteed under the name of the purchaser. 8 tickets purchased together will automatically reserve a full table (limit of 8 at a table).

Gems & Java is a fun and meaningful event and we know you are going to enjoy yourself and be moved.  Some of the fun is in our Bags & Baubles Boutique where guests will find hundreds of pieces of donated gently enjoyed purses, jewelry and fashion scarves. Guests are entitled to choose one complimentary piece and then continue to shop at a suggested donation of no less than $5 per piece. Coffee, delicious finger food and desserts are complimentary and glasses of wine are available for purchase.  A presentation about the work in Ethiopia will touch your heart and help you understand the need for and purpose of Gems & Java.  A very talented jazz band brings an element of class and joy to Gems & Java. A silent auction with many high-end items kindly donated by our friends and sponsors is a fun part of Gems & Java for all those who choose to participate.  Items made in Ethiopia are available for purchase at the Ethiopian Merkato. Take part in an authentic Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony. 

When you purchase a ticket you will be invited to subscribe to our mailing list. When you opt-in you'll receive emails with updates on the work we're doing in Ethiopia. Please join us!

Here's what you can expect when you come to Gems & Java:

• One $5 item from Bags & Baubles is complimentary. Please continue to shop in the Bags & Baubles Boutique for a recommended donation of $5 per item (unless item has a $10 tag).
• Please check the Silent Auction table to see if you were the successful bidder before you go to checkout at the end of the event.  If you were successful, take the winning bid sheet to checkout with you.
• Items from the Ethiopian Merkato, Bags & Baubles Boutique and Silent Auction will be paid for at checkout.
• A shopping bag on your chair can be used to put all of your items in to be taken to checkout.
• The donation card and receipt form (top of the form only) should be filled in before going to checkout.
• Guests can check out any time between 3:30 and 4:30 pm.
• Visa, Mastercard, cash and cheques are accepted at checkout.
